Which Fish?

Why
When consumers are informed and aware, they can make choices that are sustainable for their health and the health of the planet, and we can learn while we play: This is the inspiration behind the Which Fish? area. An educational and entertaining trail has been designed to make complex issues accessible to everyone in a simple and interactive way.
Scientific information is presented in straightforward and engaging language, along with practical advice on good practices for daily consumption

What
Which Fish? is an interactive experience that makes visitors think about what’s on their plates and traces a fish’s journey backwards to the sea.
Divided into different thematic areas that highlight a good practice or a bad practice, entertaining games lead visitors to consider subjects like the impact of fishing techniques and pollution on the state of the seas, sustainable and damaging fishing methods and conscious consumption choices as opposed to choices that are unfair to the environment and people.

Who
Which Fish? is open to all adults visiting Slow Fish. Accompanied by guides, the journey can be experienced at different levels, from a simple discovery of the major themes to a thought-provoking exploration for experts and those already well informed.
Specially designed for teachers, the “Education and the Sea” course offers useful tools for bringing themes linked to the sea and fishing into the classroom.

Where
The Which Fish? area is located after the Slow Food association stand, on the ground level of the Genoa Fiera’s Pavilion B. Covering a total of 500 square meters. The display recalls the world of the sea and fishing, with four zones that draw their visual inspiration from the seabed, fishing boats, the market and the dining table. Each zone features panels and magnetic cards used for different activities based on classic Italian card games.

When
The area will always be accessible when Slow Fish is open (Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 11 pm and Monday from 11 am to 8 pm). Visitors can choose at what level they wish to participate, whether just observing and reading the panels, or actively joining in with the games.

This activity has been produced in collaboration with Laboratorio Creativo.
