All kinds of human actions, on land and sea, end up polluting our water systems. But everyone can make their own contribution to help improve the state of our planet, and so Slow Fish has designed a special area dedicated to Good Practices. Looking at the environment as a whole, our behavior often causes harm to the ecosystem simply because we are lazy, out of habit or as a result of ignorance. Yes, strong political decisions are needed to change the current situation. But those decisions won’t count for anything if they’re not supported by virtuous behavior from all of us. An individual commitment is crucial to fixing our planet.

Good Practices is an area designed to give visibility to ideas, behavior, inventions and projects that offer concrete responses to the global environmental crisis. Visitors to Slow Fish can find out about solutions and useful tools to minimize their impact on the environment, simple suggestions for food-industry professionals and the general public that are often unknown or ignored.

Exhibitors from different countries, selected by Slow Fish organizers, will provide visitors with valuable information and practical solutions on how to save water or electricity, store or cook food in an ecological way, recycle more effectively and more simply, design houses that don’t need heating, and much, much more.
